The reservoir is called Amadorio and is located in the region of Valencia, Spain. Water was collected and filtered through a series of polycarbonate filters. DNA was extracted from the 0.1 micron and 5 micron filters to obtain genomic DNA for two different size fractions of the microbial community. DNA was sequenced using Illumina HiSeq 2000.
