Thermoflexus sinensis Latin neut. adj. Sinae, Chinese; the Chinese Thermoflexus. The nomenclatural type is the metagenomic bin QQ_bins28 (GenBank ID JAEVEY000000000). Currently known only from metagenomic sequence data. Habitat and genomic features suggest a phenotype conforming to the description of the genus Thermoflexus. Predicted to be proteolytic, based an abundance of proteases, and facultatively anaerobic, based on cytochrome c oxidase, nitrous oxide reductase, and a dissimilatory nitrite reduction to ammonium system. Possibly carboxydotrophic, based on a type I carbon monoxide dehydrogenase system. In addition to the nomenclatural type, also includes T. sinensis GXS_4 and T. sinensis GZ2_71 (GenBank ID JAEVEZ000000000).</Paragraph> <Paragraph>Keywords: GSC:MIxS;MIMAG:6.0</Paragraph> </Comment> </Description> <Owner> <Name>University of Nevada, Las Vegas</Name> <Contacts> <Contact email="thomass3@unlv.nevada.edu"> <Name> <First>Scott</First> <Last>Thomas</Last> <Middle>C</Middle> </Name> </Contact> </Contacts> </Owner> <Models> <Model>MIMAG.sediment</Model> </Models> <Package display_name="MIMAG: metagenome-assembled genome, sediment; version 6.0">MIMAG.sediment.6.0</Package> <Attributes> <Attribute attribute_name="isolation_source" harmonized_name="isolation_source" display_name="isolation source">top 1 cm of hot spring sediment</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="collection_date" harmonized_name="collection_date" display_name="collection date">2011-01-01</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="geo_loc_name" harmonized_name="geo_loc_name" display_name="geographic location">China: Gongxiaoshe pool,Tengchong, Baoshan, Yunnan</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="lat_lon" harmonized_name="lat_lon" display_name="latitude and longitude">25.44012 N 98.46004 E</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="isolate" harmonized_name="isolate" display_name="isolate">GXS_4</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="metagenome-source">hot springs metagenome</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="environmental-sample">1</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="metagenomic">1</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="derived-from" harmonized_name="derived_from" display_name="derived from">This BioSample is a metagenomic assembly obtained from the hot springs metagenome BioSample: SAMN03436300</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="depth" harmonized_name="depth" display_name="depth">top 1 cm of sediment</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="elev" harmonized_name="elev" display_name="elevation">1,721 m</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="env_broad_scale" harmonized_name="env_broad_scale" display_name="broad-scale environmental context">Geothermal field</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="env_local_scale" harmonized_name="env_local_scale" display_name="local-scale environmental context">Hot Springs</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="env_medium" harmonized_name="env_medium" display_name="environmental medium">Hot springs sediment</Attribute> <Attribute attribute_name="sample-type" harmonized_name="sample_type" display_name="sample type">metagenomic assembly</Attribute> </Attributes> <Links> <Link type="entrez" target="bioproject" label="PRJNA279030">279030</Link> </Links> <Status status="live" when="2021-05-18T18:38:55.597"/> </BioSample> </BioSampleSet>
